DATA PROTECTION POLICY - July 2024

 

Definition

 

Data Protection is the process of protecting sensitive and personal information from damage, loss or corruption.

 

Responsibility

 

This lies with the O&NCMH Management Committee.

 

Management

 

O&NCMH charity needs to keep personal data about its committee, members, volunteers and supporters in order to function effectively. This personal detail will be collected, stored, used, amended, destroyed or deleted to ensure people’s privacy and in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulations.

 

Data will only be stored with individual consent to do so and always kept to the minimum required and will be deleted when no longer required or by request of the individual.

 

No data will be shared with third parties without the explicit consent of the individual unless legally required to do so.
